So, i'll write about the mundane things of life...
- I've started painting the kitchen walls... it is a pale blue - nearly green.... if that makes any sense.
- Our dishwasher has broken down again, so we have been washing up for a couple of weeks now - which i'm not really minding too much at all.
- Work is going well - the job-share is working fine. The girls in my class frequently call me the wrong name, but such is life!
- I've had a haircut - which I'm quite pleased with. I managed to go to the hairdressers without them cutting my fringe(bangs - for those US readers!) ... I'm trying to grow it out, but always relent when they suggest cutting it.. but not this time. In fact it was a nice haircut visit - I was not pressed to make polite conversation, or to spill my personal life to all and sundry.
- Sam is getting on really well in school. He is happy to go each morning and comes home with lots to tell me.
I've also been reading quite a lot online about the Christian woman and her biblical duty.... things like not working, wearing skirts, obedience to husbands, etc etc... interestingly not seeing much on covering the head in church (which is something I've been brought up to do) I'm enjoying reading it, and thinking about it.. and also worrying about how my circumstances don't fit easily into it.
Anyway... there you go, a short post. Any advice and such like always welcome!

Cilla, maybe you should change your blog settings and make it more private. Do you know how to do this?
Sounds like your hair cut went well. I would love to see it.
Glad your job sharing is going well, and that you are reading God's Word. His Word is to the Christian, the air we need to breathe. It is fresh and brings life. It transforms our staleness and replaces our own thoughts and cares with His thoughts. It is vital.
Most women in my Church wear headcovering to the breaking of bread service. I don't see much about this either online. Just you write about what you want to and am glad your little one has settled at school. Jacob has just turned 5 what age is your wee boy ?
Love Collette xxx
Thank you for joining my daft blog, saw your name so I came to visit you!
I painted our hall a blue/ green colour, I don't know what its called but I think its a very pretty colour and sort of relaxing, doesn't make an outrageous statment and goes with everything without being boring. Its hard work painting- good luck with it.
I've read (and struggled) with the do's and dont's for Christian women, and when we lived next the Mission Station in East Africa it some times seemed that my cultural version of Christianity and the Missionaries' was two separate religions! It was hard then, and back in Ireland its still hard, but hey! if its worth doing its not going to be easy!
I was just reading about your camping holiday too, we love camping but didn't get away this year. Your two are dolls, makes me a bit sad for the time mine were that age! Mine sure aren't cute now, or maybe cute in another sense!!
Thank you for visiting and your comments!
You've just got to do what you feel comfortable with you know?
Having a blog does take some getting used to because it's so public (unless you go private, but that limits your readership).
I'm glad you didn't let the hairdresser talk you into cutting your bangs (and now you know I'm from the US, lol!).
I have done that one year Bible reading, and it is easy to get bogged down in the OT. Mine also threw in some of the NT at the same time, which was helpful.
Have a lovely day!
